Platts discontinues 14 rice price assessments, effective May 1, 2026

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, discontinues 14 rice price assessments across its global coverage, effective May 1, 2026 following the observation of reduced international trading activity and market feedback.

Platts first proposed discontinuing 17 prices in a subscriber note published on January 16 but will keep three following market feedback to keep publishing the assessments.

The price assessments to be discontinued include:

Platts will continue to provide market transparency by publishing price heards for the discontinued price assessments.

The decision to discontinue these price assessments was published in a subscriber note on February 20, 2026.
