Platts to discontinue 14 global rice price assessments from May 1, 2026
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will discontinue 14 rice price assessments across its global coverage, effective May 1, 2026, following the observation of reduced international trading activity and market feedback.
Platts first proposed discontinuing 17 prices in a subscriber note published on Jan. 16, but will keep three prices following market feedback to keep publishing the assessments.
The price assessments to be discontinued include:

Following market feedback, Platts will not discontinue these assessments:

The price assessments that are discontinued appear in Platts Connect and the Rice Daily report. The last date of publication of these assessments would be April 30.
Platts will continue to provide market transparency by publishing price heards for the discontinued price assessments.
