Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will increase the frequency of its domestic Brazilian flat and long steel price assessments to daily, from weekly, effective May 4, 2026.

The frequency change impacts the following assessments. All other specifications remain unchanged:

In addition to the frequency change, Platts will launch new weekly and monthly averages for each of the above assessments.

Platts first proposed these changes in a subscriber note published on March 6 available here.

The daily assessments, along with the associated weekly and monthly averages, will be published on fixed pages MW1315 and ST1315, in Steel Business Briefing, Steel Price Report, and in the Platts price database.
