Platts to launch CIF Middle East poultry price assessments April 1

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will launch three new daily CIF Middle East poultry price assessments, effective April 1, 2026.

This reflects sustained import demand and active spot trading of frozen poultry into the Middle East, alongside market feedback requesting transparent, clearly defined CIF reference prices to support contract negotiations and market analysis.

Following market feedback , Platts will launch daily price assessments for Chicken Shawarma, Whole Grillers, and Chicken Leg Quarters (CLQ) delivered CIF Jebel Ali, UAE, complementing our current Chicken Breast CIF Jebel Ali assessment, and expanding Platts' existing global "field to fork" coverage .

The new assessments were first proposed in a subscriber note published Feb. 13 and available here.
