Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will launch weekly ex-works Turkey spot assessments for both virgin polyethylene terephthalate and recycled PET light blue flakes, effective April 1.
The assessments, the first Turkish PET and R-PET assessments to be published by Platts, will complement existing global PET and R-PET Platts assessments.
The new ex-works Turkey assessments will be published in $/metric ton and will take into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process each Wednesday at 4:30 pm London time.
The assessments were first proposed in a subscriber note Feb. 3 and are available here.

Platts will publish a Turkish PET and R-PET commentary and rationale on Wednesdays, which will include information on the new assessments and will also appear on S&P Global Energy Core, Platts Petrochemical Alert fixed pages 503, 441, 574, Platts Market Center, and in Polymerscan and Sustainable Polymerscan.
