February 25, 2026
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has discontinued its Biodiesel FOB Southeast Asia daily price assessment and the associated PME versus Crude Palm Oil assessment, effective Feb. 25, 2026.
The final publication date s of the Biodiesel FOB Southeast Asia weekly average price (AAVSV04) and monthly average price (AAVSV03) will be on Feb. 27 and March 1, respectively.
The discontinuation follows the observation of reduced international trading activity of palm oil methyl ester (PME), amid a decline in demand from destination countries, such as those in Europe, and strong domestic demand in producing countries.
Platts launched the Biodiesel FOB Southeast Asia assessment on Jan. 14, 2008.
The assessments that have been discontinued are listed below:
| Assessment | Symbol |
| Biodiesel FOB SE Asia | AAVSV00 |
| Biodiesel FOB SE Asia MAvg | AAVSV03 |
| Biodiesel FOB SE Asia WAvg | AAVSV04 |
| PME vs Crude Palm Oil | UCFCE00 |
The discontinuation was first proposed in a subscriber note published Dec. 3, 2025, followed by a decision published Dec. 17.
The discontinued assessments were previously published in the Biofuelscan report and Biomass-Based Diesel Report, Platts Biofuel Alert pages 2010, 2011, 2012, 2310, 2311 and 2312, and in the Platts price database under the codes above.
