February 23, 2026
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will launch a new Free on Board Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (FOB ARA) styrene monomer price assessment to reflect loading during the third month from the date of publication (M3), effective March 23, 2026.
The new assessment was first proposed in a subscriber note published Feb. 2 and available here.
The assessment's specifications and terms will mirror those of the existing M1 and M2 assessments. The M3 assessment will also roll to the next month five working days prior to the end of the publishing month.
The assessment will take into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm London time each day, including firm bids and offers, trades and indicative values, as well as any other data deemed relevant to the assessment process.
Details of the assessment are as follows:
| Assessment | Symbols | Basis | Currency/UOM | Laycan | Cargo size (standard basis) | Specification |
| Styrene monomer M3 | AAGBS00 AAGBS04 (WAvg) AAGBS03 (MAvg) | FOB ARA | USD/MT | Current month +2 | 1,000 mt | ASTM D-2827, minimum purity of 99.7%, latest edition |
The M3 assessment will be published alongside existing European styrene assessments on Core and Petrochemical Alert fixed pages PCA0376, PCA0432 and PCA0338 from March 23, and in Europe & Americas Petrochemicalscan from April 10.
