Platts to discontinue Asia Biodiesel-Gasoil spread from Feb 25

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will discontinue its Asia Biodiesel-Gasoil spread calculation (ASIAA00), effective Feb. 25, 2026.

The calculation reflects the spread between the Biodiesel FOB Southeast Asia assessment (AAVSV00) and the benchmark Gasoil FOB Singapore cargo assessment (POABC00). Platts will discontinue the Biodiesel FOB Southeast Asia price from Feb. 25, 2026, following the observation of reduced international trading activity of palm oil methyl ester (PME), amid a decline in demand from destination countries and strong domestic demand in producing countries.

The calculation is currently published in the Platts price database.

The discontinuation of the Biodiesel FOB Southeast Asia was first proposed in a subscriber note published Dec. 3, 2025, followed by a decision note published Dec. 17.
