Platts changes frequency for global BPA, ethanolamines, nylons and polycarbonate spot assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has changed the frequency of the bisphenol-A, ethanolamines, nylons and polycarbonate spot assessments in Asia, the US, and Europe to weekly, effective Feb. 3, 2026.

Platts has also aligned the frequency of assessments for nylon feedstocks globally.

These changes enable a better reflection of market dynamics involving the respective products.

The changes were initially proposed Nov. 18 here, and announced in a note published Dec. 17 here.

As part of this change, Platts has discontinued related weekly averages and made relevant amendments to currency conversions.

A new conversion symbol was also launched to replace the previous weekly average conversion symbol:
