Platts launches new Transco, Leidy Top of Diamond natural gas index

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has launched a new Transco, Leidy Top of Diamond monthly natural gas index, effective Jan. 26 with the commencement of February bidweek trading.

Platts will launch a new Transco, Leidy Top of Diamond daily natural gas index on Jan. 30 in alignment with day-ahead trading for delivery Feb. 1-2.

The methodology for Transco, Leidy Top of Diamond is defined as follows: "Deliveries into Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line at the Chapin, Puddlefield, and Carverton receipt interconnects in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Deliveries into Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line elsewhere on the Leidy Line are not included."

The symbol for the daily Transco, Leidy Top of Diamond index is IGBSS00, and the symbol for the monthly Transco, Leidy Top of Diamond index is IGBSS03.

This announcement follows a decision published Jan. 13.
