Preliminary 8.99 Bcm of saleable gas produced in Feb
Down 12% on month, 9% lower on annual basis
March saleable gas production forecasts at 9.881 Bcm
London — Norwegian saleable natural gas production in February posted a solid fall on an annual basis despite having come in line with original forecasts, preliminary data from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate showed March 19.
A preliminary 8.99 Bcm of saleable gas -- which includes gas produced for LNG export -- was produced in February, in line with the forecast of 8.993 Bcm but lower than both the 10.24 Bm produced in January and the 9.88 Bcm that was produced in February 2020.
During the first two months of 2021, preliminary saleable gas production stood at 19.23 Bcm, higher than the 18.97 Bcm that was forecast for the same period but down from the 20.36 Bcm produced during the first two months of last year.
NPD forecasts for March showed that a total of 9.881 Bcm would be produced, which if realized, would be lower than the 10.72 Bcm produced during the same month in 2020.
