Amrize launches 'Product of Canada' label
Company plans $900 mil investment for 2026
Cement price reaches $89/mt in Houston
Amrize announced on March 17 the launch of a "Product of Canada" label for its cement, aimed at identifying cement it says is manufactured in Canada from raw materials through processing and production.
Amrize said it plans to expand production capacity across its Canadian cement network, which includes five cement plants, and that the label rollout is part of a broader $900 million capital investment plan for 2026.
:With our 'Product of Canada' label, we are giving customers confidence that their building solutions are made in Canada with local-to-local service," said Cory Cannon, senior vice president of Canada Cement Commercial for Amrize. "For more than 100 years, we have been proud to be Canada's leading cement producer, supplying high-performance and innovative building solutions, helping meet the country's growing infrastructure and construction needs. We are committed to investing in and advancing Canada's building industry, supporting jobs, communities and the economy."
Back in November 2025, Amrize launched the 'Made in America' label for cement manufactured and processed within the US.
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, assessed Cement CIF Houston at $89/mt on March 12.
