The fire at an oil storage facility in the Crimean port of Sevastopol has been extinguished after being hit by a drone strike, the Russian-appointed Gov. Mikhail Razvozhayev said in an April 29 post on Telegram.

Razvozhayev said the attack is not affecting fuel supplies to Sevastopol.

There have been several drone strikes on Russia's annexed Crimea in recent days, raising risks to commodities infrastructure.

Since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, a significant number of commodities infrastructure projects have been damaged in both Russia and Ukraine.

The Russian Defence Ministry said previously that it may cancel the Black Sea grain deal in response to attacks.

Brokered by the UN and Turkey, the grain deal was first agreed in July 2022 to allow Ukrainian grain shipments from Black Sea ports. Soon after Russia invaded Ukraine, some Black Sea ports were blocked.

Russia previously suspended the deal following attacks on Crimea in October.

Ukraine, the UN and Turkey agreed March 18 to extend the deal for another 120 days. However, Russia said the deal may not be extended beyond May 18.

Platts, part of S&P Global, assessed Ukrainian 11.5% protein wheat, FOB Black Sea, at $260/mt on April 28. Platts assessed Ukrainian corn FOB Black Sea at $224/mt that day.
