Platts to launch new weekly Asia isobutanol CFR China assessment

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will launch weekly spot assessments for isobutanol CFR China, published every Thursday, effective Oct. 3.

The new assessment builds on Platts recent expansion of intermediates coverage.

The new assessment will be based on the latest information sourced from the market up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm Singapore time (0830 GMT). It will be published in $/mt and will follow the Singapore publishing schedule.

Details of the new assessments are as follows:

Basis and location CFR China, basis East China
Timing Delivery 15-30 days forward from the date of publication
Cargo size 100 mt
Terms and conditions Up to L/C 90 days
Product specifications Minimum purity of 99.8%
UOM $/mt

Market information with non-standard specifications may be considered and normalized to the standard.

The new assessment will be published in Solventswire and on Platts Connect.
