Platts proposes to launch new weekly Asia isobutanol CFR China assessment

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to launch weekly spot assessments for isobutanol CFR China, published every Thursday, effective Oct. 3.

The proposed assessment would complement plans by Platts to expand coverage of its oxo-alcohols coverage.

The proposed assessment would be based on the latest information sourced from the market up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm Singapore time (0830 GMT). It would be published in $/mt and follow the Singapore publishing schedule.

Details of the proposed assessments are as follows:

Basis and location CFR China, basis east China ports
Timing Delivery 15-30 days forward from the date of publication
Cargo size 100 mt
Terms and conditions L/C 30-90 days
Product specifications Minimum purity of 99.8%
UOM $/mt

Market information with non-standard specifications may be considered and normalized to the standard.
