Platts discontinues OCTG FOB China steel assessments

Following industry consultation, S&P Global Platts has discontinued its OCTG FOB China steel assessments with effect from Dec. 31, 2021.

The discontinuation results from changes to market conditions, which have led to a decline in the volume of Chinese exports of OCTG casing.

The assessment was published monthly in dollars per metric ton under the symbol AAXNI00 and in dollars per foot under AAXNK00.

They appeared in Platts Steel Alert on page 0891, SBB Daily Briefing, Platts Price Analyzer and Platts Market Data category SQ.
