Platts proposes rounding changes for LPG assessments

S&P Global Platts proposes to standardize the rounding of its European LPG assessments to the nearest 25 cents/mt with effect from February 7, 2020.

The propane and butane assessments currently round to the nearest 25 cents/gal or $1/mt. This revised standardization would allow for greater precision in Platts assessments across the LPG complex, which aligns with observed trading conventions.

The assessments affected by these proposed changes are:

PROPANE

Propane CIF NWE Large Cargo
PMABA00

BUTANE

Assessment name

Butane FOB NWE Seagoing
PMAAL00
Butane CIF 1,000-3,000 MT
