Effective January 2, 2018, the Worldscale flat rates to be considered in the CIF Rotterdam BFOE crude assessments that comprise CIF Dated Brent will be $7.59 per metric ton (Brent), $5.16 (Forties), $5.09 (Oseberg), $4.15 (Ekofisk) and $5.12 (Troll). The flat rate will be adjusted using the Worldscale rate published in the Platts Dirty Tankerwire for an 80,000 mt Aframax cross North Sea route. The conversion factors applied will be 7.52 (Brent), 7.57 (Forties), 7.53 (Oseberg), 7.56 (Ekofisk) and 7.44 (Troll). The Rotterdam port fee calculation used will be 13 cents/barrel.
While Platts no longer assesses CIF Dated Brent as a net forward of the individual FOB crudes that make up the FOB Dated Brent assessment, it may use the above freight rates as guidance.
