Platts to launch weekly average prices for Asia thermal coal assessments on Jan 29

S&P Global Platts will launch weekly averages for Asia thermal coal price assessments from Jan. 29, 2021.

The publishing of weekly averages will offer the market a direct comparison across Platts global suite of daily and weekly thermal coal price assessments, and weekly price fluctuations.

Platts will publish the four FOB Kalimantan assessments in Coal Trader International, and continue to observe market demand and consult feedback to publish the other Asia thermal coal assessments as the market develops.

The weekly averages of the following daily Asia thermal coal assessments, in $/mt, and their associated price database codes are as follows:
