SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to increase US MW steel wire rod assessment frequency

Following a period of industry feedback, Platts will increase the frequency of its monthly US midwestern steel wire rod price assessment, effective January 9, 2015. Platts now publishes a monthly assessment for steel wire rod mesh quality North American domestic produced ex-mill US MW symbol SB01249 on the first business day of each calendar month. Platts intends to increase the frequency of this assessment to weekly to be published on Fridays and to capture changes in the market throughout each calendar month. This price assessment is only published on the SBB website and price analyzer. All other specifications will remain the same.
