Holiday notice for North American coal

Per the Platts Holiday Schedule (www.platts.com/HolidayHome), Platts will not publish daily North American coal assessments Monday, December 26, because of the Christmas holiday. In addition, Coal Trader and Coal Outlook will not be published December 26.

Platts Daily OTC Assessments and Platts OTC Broker Index, based on trading Friday, December 23, will be published that day on Platts Electricity Alert and in Platts Market Data, and will be published in the Coal Trader's December 27 issue.

Per the Platts methodology, the last day of trading for the January, 2012, prompt month for purposes of calculating final monthly averages will be December 23. Therefore, the final monthly prompt-month averages for Platts Daily OTC Assessments and the Platts OTC Broker Index will be based on the daily assessments of the January, 2012, prompt month from trade date Monday, November 28, through trade date Friday, December 23.
