Platts proposes to discontinue EC Carbon Spot Auction price

S&P Global Platts is proposing to discontinue the European Commission Carbon Spot Auction price, effective March 9, 2022.

The quarterly EC spot auction price had been used as an input in hydrogen cost of production assessments until Aug. 2, 2021 when it was replaced with daily Platts carbon pricing data.

The EC spot auction data would be discontinued from the European Exchange Market Data Category. The following symbol would be discontinued:
