S&P Global Platts proposes daily global uranium U3O8 market reporting

S&P Global Platts is proposing to assess uranium in the form of U3O8 on a daily basis starting February 19, 2020.

Platts currently assesses the price of U3O8 across 12 monthly delivery windows starting with the current month on a weekly basis. Those assessments will move to daily. Platts also publishes an average of those 12 monthly assessed prices, which will also be done on a daily basis.

Based on developments in uranium markets, a daily assessment is seen as useful to market participants. Such an assessment will reflect market activity earlier and better reflect the evolution of markets during the week.
