The following changes have been made across Platts Clean Refined Products price assessments for the Europe & Africa region to reflect the latest Worldscale freight rates for 2018. The changes take effect January 2, 2018.
DIESEL
Effective January 2, 2018, Platts updates all its Worldscale flat rates for ultra low sulfur diesel cargoes in Northwest Europe and the Mediterranean.
The flat rate used to calculate the netback formula for ULSD 10ppmS FOB Med Cargoes becomes $6.66/mt.
The flat rate used to calculate the netback formula for ULSD 10ppmS FOB NWE Cargoes becomes $6.89/mt.
The flat rate used to calculate the netback formula for ULSD 10ppmS FOB NWE Basis Le Havre Cargoes becomes $7.12/mt.
The flat rate used to calculate the net-forward formula for ULSD 10ppmS CIF NWE Basis UK Cargoes becomes $2.00/mt.
The flat rate used to calculate the net-forward formula for ULSD 10ppmS CIF NWE Basis Le Havre Cargoes becomes $1.30/mt.
GASOIL
Effective January 2, 2018, Platts updates all its Worldscale flat rates for 0.1% gasoil cargoes in Northwest Europe and the Mediterranean.
The flat rate used to calculate the netback formulas for FOB Mediterranean 0.1% gasoil cargoes will be $7.52/mt.
For FOB Northwest Europe 0.1% gasoil cargoes the flat rate will be $7.30/mt.
GASOLINE
Effective January 2, 2018, the Worldscale flat rate used to calculate the net-forward formula for the CIF Med premium gasoline 10 ppm cargo is $5.45/mt.
The 2018 Worldscale flat rate used to calculate the net-forward formula for the CIF West Africa assessment is $13.21/mt.
NAPHTHA
Effective January 2, 2018, the Worldscale flat rate used to calculate the netback formula for FOB Med naphtha cargoes becomes $10.89/mt.
This includes an additional 83 cents/mt on top of the base Worldscale rate, reflecting calculated port fees in Rotterdam.
The Worldscale flat rate used to calculate the net-forward formula for CIF Med naphtha becomes $6.73/mt.
JET FUEL
Effective January 2, 2018, the Worldscale flat rate (Augusta-Rotterdam route) used to calculate the netback formula for FOB Mediterranean jet will be $8.65/mt.
Rotterdam harbor dues will be $1.00/mt.
