The Platts US ethanol assessments reflect ethanol bids, offers and transactions with RINs (Renewable Identification Number) credits attached. Per typical market practice, the ethanol seller has the option to attach either the previous year or current year RINs for ethanol supplies nominated by the buyer for delivery/lifting in January. However, if a buyer nominates for delivery/lifting in February, the seller must supply current year RINs in line with general market practices. For questions or comments, please contact Kevin Allen, kevin_allen@platts.com, with a cc to pricegroup@platts.com.
