Global metals schedule for December holidays

S&P Global Platts has made the following changes to its metals assessment and publication schedules during December due to global and regional holidays.

All Platts offices will be closed on December 25, 2019, and January 1, 2020, and there will be no daily price assessments or publications on those days.

The Platts London office will be closed on December 26 and there will be no daily global molybdenum assessment, no daily European steel and ferrous scrap assessments, no EMEA daily dry freight assessments and no LME-based assessments. There will be no daily US Aluminum assessments or CIF Japan aluminum premium assessment.

In addition, Platts will close all global assessments early on December 24 and December 31. The Market on Close assessment process and Singapore and Shanghai assessments will close at 12:30 pm Singapore time (0430 GMT); London-based and European assessments will close at 12:30 pm London time (1230 GMT); and the US and Brazilian assessments will close at 1:30 pm EST (1730 GMT).

US secondary aluminum alloys, secondary aluminum scrap and NY tin will be assessed once for each week on Monday, December 23, and Monday, December 30.

Asian weekly assessments for steel, ferrous scrap and ferroalloys, normally assessed on Wednesdays, will be assessed on December 24 and December 31 with an early close.

US weekly nonferrous assessments normally assessed on Wednesdays will be assessed on December 24 and January 2 in the case of copper scrap and bulk ferroalloys, and on December 26 and January 2 in the case of silicon.

European weekly ferroalloys assessments normally assessed on Thursdays will be assessed from London on December 27.

US weekly steel lead times and steel monthly averages will be published on December 31 with an early close, and the January 2020 Atlantic and DR pellet premium will be published on January 2.

Platts Metals Week Price Notification Monthly Report will publish December 31 as normal.
