Data backfilled for key US product differentials

S&P Global Platts has backfilled the historical data for key US product differentials that started publication on October 1, 2017. Differentials were backfilled to January 4, 2010, for most products or to their origin date for products started after January 4, 2010.

Gasoline and distillates in the physical oil market in the US typically trade on a differential basis to the relevant futures contracts. Before October 1, 2017, Platts only published the outright price assessment and this backfill does not change those assessments.

There are no changes to assessments for the US West Coast, where Platts already historically published differentials to futures for Gasoline CARBOB Los Angeles, Jet Kero Los Angeles pipeline, ULSD (EPA) Los Angeles pipeline and ULSD CARB Diesel Los Angeles pipeline.
