SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts corrects December 16, 2014 clean fuel spreads

Platts has corrected some of its forward clean dark and clean spark spreads alongside Coal Switching Price Indicator data for December 16, 2014. Platts clean fuel spreads are indicators of the theoretical profitability of coal- and gas-fired power plants, allowing for the cost of fuel and carbon emissions. The December 16, 2014 data applied the incorrect delivery period for EUA emissions for some of the clean fuel spreads following the December 15, 2014 expiry of the December 14 EUA contract. All clean fuel spread data for December 16, 2014 will be republished in the December 18 edition of European Power Daily dated December 21. UK and German clean dark spreads will also be republished in Coal Trader International. The Coal Switching Price Indicators will be republished in European Gas Daily and European Power Daily.
