S&P Global Platts will begin publishing the official selling price set by Kuwait for its Super Light crude grade from January 2019.
Kuwait Petroleum Corporation announces its crude OSP for Asia as a differential to Platts Oman/Dubai average each month for cargoes loading in the following month. In January, Platts will publish the OSP for February-loading cargoes of Kuwait Super Light crude.
The new OSP differential and equivalent outright prices will be published alongside existing ones for Kuwait Export crude on Platts Global Alert (PGA) Page 1060 under codes OSKLF00 and OSKLD00.
Kuwait offered its first cargo of Super Light crude in June for July loading. The crude, which comes mainly from the development of the Jurassic gas fields, has an API gravity of 48 degrees and sulfur content of 0.357%. Exports of the crude are currently estimated at about six 500,000-barrel cargoes a month, or about 3 million barrels a month.
