S&P Global Platts will change the reaction time to repeat an order after trade from 40 seconds to 30 seconds for the Platts Asia MTBE Market on Close assessment process, with effect from December 18, 2017.
For the Platts Asia MTBE MOC assessment process, bids and offers are typically submitted via the eWindow communication tool.
This change in methodology follows consultations with the market and will align Platts Asia MTBE MOC with the Asia gasoline cargo MOC assessment process reaction time for repeat of orders.
As stated in a subscriber note in September 2016, the minimum time between incremental price changes in eWindow is 30 seconds and the period of testing the repeatability of an order traded near close remains 1 minute.
