S&P Global Platts proposes to begin publishing assessments of three monthly financial derivatives contracts that settle against its physical E10 Eurobob Gasoline barge FOB AR assessment (Code: AGEFA00), with effect from January 13, 2020.
Platts launched its physical E10 Eurobob Gasoline barge FOB AR assessment on August 5, 2019.
The launch of the assessment followed growth in the market for gasoline with higher levels of biofuels, as key European markets transition to this emerging standard.
Full details of the Platts E10 Eurobob Gasoline barge FOB AR assessment are available in the following subscriber note, published June 26, 2019:
https://www.spglobal.com/platts/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/062619-platts-to-launch-non-oxygenated-e10-eurobob-gasoline-barge-fob-ar-assessment
Under the proposal, Platts would publish derivatives assessments for balance month and two subsequent calendar months.
The metric ton-to-barrel conversion factor for the derivatives contracts will be 8.33 -- in line with the conversion factor for physical gasoline assessments by Platts.
