Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to update the cargo volumes for its White Rose crude assessment, effective March 1, 2023.
Platts proposes to establish in its White Rose assessment a minimum volume of 550,000 barrels and maximum of 960,000 barrels, with the cargo assessment reflecting a standard volume of 710,000 barrels.
The White Rose assessment currently reflects a typical volume of 900,000 barrels. The proposed volumes are based on market feedback and an analysis of shipping data.
The volume changes would apply to the assessment of Eastern Canadian White Rose, which reflects barrels loading on an FOB basis at Whiffen Head, Newfoundland, Canada.
The proposed changes would apply to the following codes:
White Rose AAVJX00 AAVJX03
White Rose vs Canada Dated Brent Strip AAVJY00 AAVJY03
White Rose (C$/CM) AAVPI00 AAVPI03
