Platts plans to amend the minimum flash point reflected in its specifications for all Asia 10 ppm gasoil assessments to 66 degrees Celsius with effect from April 2, 2012, following further feedback to our proposal note of September 28.
The change will be made later than the originally proposed January 2 implementation date.
This change will bring the specified flash point for Platts' Asia 10 ppm gasoil assessments in line with all other gasoil grades assessed on an FOB Singapore basis.
The minimum flash point reflected in the assessment for 10 ppm gasoil is currently set at 61.5 degrees Celsius.
The change will affect 10 ppm gasoil assessments for FOB Singapore, FOB West India and C+F Sydney/Melbourne.
