Platts to introduce new NWE MEG spot assessments

Following discussions with the industry, Platts plans to introduce two new European monoethylene glycol weekly price assessments, comprising a spot CIF Northwest Europe T2 assessment in euro/mt to run concurrent to the spot CIF NWE T2 $/mt, and a spot Free Carrier Alongside euro/mt assessment to complement the current Free Delivered NWE price.

These new assessments, to be published in the Platts Petrochemical Alert, the Olefinscan and the Polymerscan, will begin from February 4, 2011.
