Effective January 4, 2010, the Worldscale flat basis rate used to calculate C+F Japan, FOB Arab Gulf and C+F Australia unleaded gasoline assessments will become $9.79/mt, $10.83/mt, and $14.61/mt respectively.
The basis rate used to calculate FOB Singapore naphtha will become $9.79/mt.
The basis rate to be used to calculate the FOB Arab Gulf netback will become $20.95/mt for Long Range 1 and Long Range 2 vessels.
The basis rate used to calculate the FOB Arab Gulf gasoil and kerosene assessments will become $10.77/mt, and that for C+F Australia gasoil and jet will become $14.61/mt.
The basis rate used to calculate the netback FOB Arab Gulf 180 CST and 380 CST fuel oil assessments will become $11.06/mt, and that for the CFR Japan 180 CST fuel oil will become $10.96/mt.
The actual freight applied to derive the netback or C+F assessments fluctuates daily based on changes in Platts' Dirty Tanker Wire and Clean Tanker Wire, applied against the respective 2010 flat rates.
Routes used in all calculations are unchanged from 2009.
