SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes change to shipping assessments linked to Egypt

S&P Global Platts proposes to change the basis of LNG shipping assessments referring to the Egyptian port of Ain Sukhna to ports in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.

Platts welcomes feedback on this proposal by January 2, 2019.

This proposal follows the rebasing of the Platts LNG Middle East Marker to ports in these two nations that took place on December 3, 2018.

The LNG shipping assessments with the following price symbols would be affected: LMEMM00, LMEMM03, LMEMN00, LMEMN03, LMEMP00 LMEMP03, LMEMQ00 LMEMQ03, LMEMR00 LMEMR03,LMEMS00 LMEMS03,LMEMT00 LMEMT03,LMEMU00 LMEMU03,LMEMV00 LMEMV03,LMEMW00 LMEMW03,LMEMX00 LMEMX03,LMEMY00 LMEMY03,LMEMZ00 LMEMZ03.

As a consequence of this proposal, the names of the above symbols would change, with the reference to "Egypt" and "Ain Sukhna" changing to refer to "Kuwait/UAE".

Platts invites any questions and feedback about this decision to LNGeditorialteam@spglobal.com and pricegroup@spglobal.com by January 2.
