SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts launches 50% minimum GHG saving requirement for EU ethanol assessments

Platts has launched a minimum 50% GHG saving requirement for the FOB Rotterdam T2 and T1 ethanol assessments and MOC processes effective from December 5, 2016.

This will operate in addition to the prevailing Renewable Energy Directive (RED) requirement, with the highest requirement for greenhouse gas (GHG) savings taking precedence.

The launch follows a proposal note issued September 13, 2016 and a decision note issued October 14, 2016.
