Test file for February 1 changes to NYMEX/ICE futures data

As previously announced, Platts will be making two changes effective February 1, 2012 to the end-of-day exchange futures prices delivered to data subscribers: - Prices will be published in decimal (dollars/euros and cents) format instead of the current integer format - As-of dates for volume and open interest figures will reflect actual rather than current-day values, and thus align with the as-of dates for the corresponding prices

For a sample test file illustrating the new format, click on the following link or copy and paste it into your web browser: http://plts.co/cdtxt The following sample from the test file illustrates the differences for one symbol: - The volume and open interest ('w' and 'e' entries) for Dec 1 are delivered in the Dec 2 file, but dated Dec 1 rather than Dec 2 in the current file - The prices ('h', 'l', 'c' and 'o' entries) are in decimal (dollars and cents) rather than integer (cents) format. Note that if you convert current futures price values from cents to dollars or euros, you should plan on stopping the adjustment when the changes take effect on February 1, 2012.
