SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts clarifies MOC dates around Christmas, New Year period

S&P Global Platts wishes to remind subscribers that in its European CIF refined oil products transactions, Platts guidelines require that the seller should narrow the five-day delivery range to a three-day delivery range by the earliest of five clear calendar or three clear working days before the first day of the narrowed delivery range, whichever falls sooner.

Platts also expects the seller to nominate the performing vessel by the earliest of either five clear calendar or three clear working days.

For CIF Mediterranean gasoil cargo nominations, the vessel nomination and the narrowing of the delivery range should be made by the earliest of seven clear calendar or five clear working days before the first day of the actual delivery range, again, whichever falls sooner.

In line with the published 2018 end-of-year holiday schedule, on the following days Platts will publish bids and offers in its Market on Close assessment processes for refined products (excluding CIF Mediterranean gasoil) with laycans contained in the following period:

- December 21 MOC: January 3 - January 15

In line with the published holiday schedule, Platts will publish bids and offers in its CIF Mediterranean gasoil Market on Close assessment process with laycans contained in the following periods:

- December 17 MOC: December 28 - January 11 - December 18 MOC: January 2 - January 12 - December 19 MOC: January 3 - January 13 - December 20 MOC: January 4 - January 14 - December 21 MOC: January 7 - January 15 - December 27 MOC: January 8 - January 21 - December 28 MOC: January 9 - January 22

Throughout this period, the assessed date range for the assessment of CIF cargo assessments will remain unaffected and continue to reflect material for discharge 10-25 days forward from date of publication.

From January 2, the bids and offers for the typical laycan dates will be published across all CIF refined products Platts Market on Close assessment process.
