Platts is extending the period for feedback on its proposal to discontinue assessments for US Gulf Coast Premium CBOB (D-Grade) gasoline. Platts initially proposed suspending this assessment in a note published on September 19, 2013.
Colonial Pipeline no longer ships this grade with regularity and, as a result, Platts has observed substantially diminished market liquidity. Platts would like to further determine if there is any prospect for liquidity to return to this market, as downstream markets continue to evolve in the region.
These assessments are published on Platts Global Alert page 330, and in the Platts assessment database under code AAWRW00 for pipeline Premium CBOB, and AAWET00 for waterborne Premium CBOB.
The seasonal supplemental assessment for Premium CBOB appears on PGA page 332 under the symbol AASOC00.
Please send any further feedback by February 28, 2014 to americas_products@platts.com and pricegroup@platts.com.
For written comments, please provide a clear indication if comments are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing. Platts will consider all comments received and will make comments not marked as confidential available to the public upon request.
