Effective December 12, 2012, Platts is amending its specifications for assessments for CARB diesel and EPA ultra low sulfur diesel in both Los Angeles and San Francisco to reflect up to 5% renewable diesel content. Max sulfur content will be 11 ppm. This change aligns with recent changes by Kinder Morgan to its Pacific Operations Specification Manual. The Kinder Morgan pipeline is the main pipeline system serving the West Coast. Historically, Platts assessments have reflected Kinder Morgan specifications.
