S&P Global Platts wishes to clarify the document presentation period it reflects in bids, offers and trades reported via its IODEX Platts Market on Close assessment process.
Platts has gathered feedback from many market participants, who suggested that a document presentation period of up to 35 days after completion of loading would not have the potential to affect the value of the cargo.
Therefore, Platts will reflect, with immediate effect, bids, offers and trades reported in the IODEX MOC assessment process whose document presentation period is no longer than 35 days after the shipment date.
Platts continues to monitor standard market practices in iron ore and will react if this changes.
