SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts clarifies conversion rate for USGC HSFO

S&P Global Platts would like to clarify that the metric ton-to-barrel conversion factor for its USGC HSFO assessment (data code PUAFZ00) is 6.35.

This conversion rate is in line with the previously-announced specification change to reflect the prevailing qualities of RMG 380 3.5% quality fuel oil.

This updates the conversions as of assessments today that appear on Platts Global Alert pages 31 and 39; and in Platts' US Marketscan under the table "Five-Day Rolling Averages" and in Oilgram Price Report under the table "Five-Day Rolling Averages."

The clarification is not a change in USGC HSFO methodology, which continues to reflect the same specification, and does not affect any databased prices.
