Following an internal review, Platts will merge the weekly assessments and commentaries for US isopropanol, phenol, acetone, ketones and acetates currently published on Platts Petrochemical Alert into combined pages from January 10.
Page PCA 379 will combine the weekly assessments only for US isopropanol (currently at PCA379), phenol (currently at PCA400), acetone (currently at PCA381), ketones (currently at PCA384), acetates (currently at PCA388) and and industrial ethanol (currently PCA386).
Page PCA 400 will combine the weekly commentary pages only for US isopropanol (currently at PCA379), phenol (currently at PCA400), acetone (currently at PCA381), ketones (currently at PCA384), acetates (currently at PCA388) and industrial ethanol (currently PCA386).
The changes above will impact the weekly Platts Solventswire.
In addition, Platts will reintroduce weekly US, Europe and Asia spot methanol assessments in the Solventswire. These methanol prices will reflect weekly averages at close of Friday the previous week as published in the Platts Europe & Americas Petrochemicalscan and Asian Petrochemicalscan. The averages will reflect US methanol basis FOB US Gulf in cents/gallon (Oracle code AAIUX00), European methanol basis FOB Rotterdam T2 in Eur/mt (Oracle code HPACQ01) and Asian methanol basis CFR China in $/mt (Oracle code AAWAZ04).
