Following an internal review, Platts will merge the weekly assessments and commentaries for Northwest European isopropyl alcohol, phenol, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, ethyl acetate and butyl acetate currently published on Platts Petrochemical Alert into combined pages from January 10, 2012.
Page PCA 378 will combine the weekly assessments for NWE isopropyl alcohol (currently at PCA378), phenol (currently at PCA399), acetone (currently at PCA380), methyl ethyl ketone (currently at PCA383), ethyl acetate (currently at PCA387) and butyl acetate (currently at PCA 389).
Page PCA 399 will combine the weekly commentary pages for NWE isopropyl alcohol (currently at PCA378), phenol (currently at PCA399), acetone (currently at PCA380), methyl ethyl ketone (currently at PCA383), ethyl acetate (currently at PCA387) and butyl acetate (currently at PCA 389).
The changes above will impact the weekly Platts Solventswire.
In addition, Platts will reintroduce weekly US, Europe and Asia spot methanol assessments in the Solventswire. These methanol prices will reflect weekly averages at close of Friday the previous week as published in the Platts Europe & Americas Petrochemicalscan and Asian Petrochemicalscan. The averages will reflect US methanol basis FOB US Gulf in cents/gallon (Oracle code AAIUX00), European methanol basis FOB Rotterdam T2 in Eur/mt (Oracle code HPACQ01) and Asian methanol basis CFR China in $/mt (Oracle code AAWAZ04).
