Platts to change European glycol's location, domestic cargo size specifications

Following consultation, S&P Global Platts will change its Northwest European monoethylene glycol (MEG) and diethylene glycol (DEG) spot assessment specifications, effective Jan. 14, 2022, in order to better reflect standard market practices.

Platts will narrow the location for its FCA and CIF MEG and FCA DEG spot assessments from NWE to Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp (ARA), basis Antwerp.

In addition, Platts will also change the minimum volume for its domestic FCA and FD assessments to 25 mt and introduce a maximum volume of 100 mt.

The location and cargo size changes will affect the following assessments:

MEG: FCA NWE: AAUWW00, AAUWW10, AAUWW13, AAUWW03

DEG: FCA NWE: AAXCX00, AAXCX03

The location change will affect the following assessments:

MEG: CIF NWE: AAUWV00, PHAJL00, AAUWV03, PHBDE03

In addition, the cargo size change will affect the following FD assessments:

MEG: FD NWE: HPAJK00, HPAJK10, HPBDD03, HPAJK13

DEG: FD NWE: AAXCY00, AAXCY03
