Following industry consultation, S&P Global Platts has updated the name and specifications for its India HRC domestic DDP Mumbai assessment (TS01046), effective December 6, 2017, to reflect the current trading practices. Platts has renamed the assessment HRC India Domestic Delivered Mumbai to avoid ambiguity that may arise from the term Delivered Duty Paid as the assessment would exclude GST. Platts has changed the day of publication to Wednesday every week from Mondays currently. Platts has also updated the specifications underlying the assessment to the following: Grade: IS2062 E250A or equivalent Thickness: 2.5-10 mm Width: 1,250-1,500 mm Quantity: 100-1,000 mt Basis: Delivered Mumbai Timing: Cargoes to be delivered 2 to 21 days forward from publication date Payment terms: Cash on delivery Currency/Unit of measurement: Rupees/metric ton Duties: Excluding GST Platts considers trades, bids and offers until the Market on Close timestamp of 5:30 pm in Singapore. Information on cargoes of other specifications and delivered to other locations may also be considered in the absence of information pertaining to the above specifications. Such information will be normalized to the standard specifications, using spreads observed in the marketplace. The assessment is published in Platts Steel Price Report, Platts Price Analyzer, Platts Metals Alert and Platts Market Data, with a publication schedule following the Singapore public holiday calendar. Please send all feedback, queries and comments to charlotte.rao@spglobal.com, keith.tan@spglobal.com and pricemethodology@spglobal.com. For written comments, please provide a clear indication if they are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing. Platts will consider all comments received and will make those not marked confidential available upon request.
