Further to Russian government legislation to lower the sulfur specification for diesel in the domestic Russian market, effective December 5, 2011, Platts will reflect in its Russian domestic diesel FCA Moscow and FCA Ufa assessments product with a maximum sulfur content of 0.05% (500 parts per million).
Platts currently reflects a standard of 0.1% sulfur diesel.
The Russian pipeline system continues to carry 0.1% sulfur diesel but Transnefteprodukt has indicated that it is gradually increasing the shipments of 500 ppm on the domestic market.
