S&P Global Platts has updated the conversion factor of its ESPO crude oil assessments in the pricing database from December 3, 2018. There is no change to the underlying methodology or prices published.
Some Platts ESPO assessments were previously labeled in the pricing database as having a conversion factor of 7.54 or 7.225, while some ESPO assessments had no conversion factor attached to them. Platts has updated the conversion factor for ESPO assessments to 7.39 in line with the prevailing conversion factor published in the Platts Crude Oil Methodology and Specifications guide.
