Platts proposes to launch daily polypropylene raffia FOB China assessment

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, proposes to launch a new daily polypropylene (PP) raffia grade FOB China assessment, effective Feb. 2, 2026, in view of additional capacities and growing export volumes from China.

Details of the proposed assessment are as follows:

Platts is also seeking additional feedback on the port basis locations, specifically on major east China river ports such as Nanjing and Jiangyin and their logistical and pricing differences to major east China sea ports.

The proposed assessment would be published daily and be based on the latest information sourced from the market up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm Singapore time (0830 GMT). It would be published in $/mt and follow the Singapore publishing schedule.

The assessment would be published on PCA282, PCA965, PCA573, PCA462, Platts Connect, Platts Market Center, in Asian Petrochemicalscan and Polymerscan.
